New Endings and Old Beginings
04.27.06 - 12:33pm
I figured a quick explanation for my recent lack of activity was required, so here I am. Here at Georgia Tech, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the Library is packed to the rafters with caffeine hyped students. Finals start next week and everyone is busy calculating grades to see which classes they will be passing and by what margin they will be passing. For the first time in my 2 years here at this lovely institution, I am walking into my finals passing every class without the seemingly necessary curve. In order to maintain my presence at this school, I will be forced to temporarily drop my most favorite project, this website. Besides posting a few bits of news and information, I won’t have a chance to post any truly unique material. I apologize, I don’t like leaving this place in its start up state, but my grades are calling. Once I am done with my Finals next Saturday (May 6th) I will be moving out of my current residence and setting up shop at a new location. Next Sunday I will be back here, hopefully with new material and a revised BitTorrent comparison/configuration guide/thingy. I really don’t know what I expected out of that article, but you guys liked it and that makes me happy.
With the bad news out of the way, I would like to thank a few people. On reflecting over the last two months, a few people have stood out that have made this website possible. To make this quick and succinct, this will be more of a list with names and reasons, sorry I can’t make this more personal, but I am on a time crunch.
My Parents-thanks for being excited about this website, I am glad you two find this very impressive.
Meagan Clem-thanks for your continual support and listening to me babble about overclocking, propane, and computers.
Paul Stamatiou-thanks for being a great friend. Paul is the reason why I have a server, K2, and my knowledge about websites.
The Readers-thanks for reading what I write and then commenting. Unless you comment, you are just an IP address to me, be vocal.
Hackaday.com-thanks for putting me up on your Frontpage, your special traffic put this site all over the world
Digg.com and Diggers-you are a phenomenom, enough said.
Media Temple-one of my goals is to crash the server that hosts me, yet you guys manage to keep them up, great job and thanks
Random people that see me on campus as say “great article”-I don’t know how you found a picture of me and then found me, but thanks
That wraps this up, if I didn’t mention your name, don’t feel neglected, you either fit into Readers, Diggers, or Random People, so I took care of you. I have already spent too much time trying to make this sound serious and failing, so on that note, I am out of here, I will monitor my articles and reply to comments and emails, but no new content for 10 days. Be back Sunday the 7th.
