The New Digs

Once again the time has come for me to migrate to new lodging and naturally this website suffers from my absence from a structured environment/Internet connection. Luckily this time around I have my lovely Macbook to make the move with and this has made it so much easier. Now I usually try to stay away from lengthy personal entries here as I have been trying to build a “professional” atmosphere for this place but for the day I’m tossing that rule out the window.

Over the last three months or so my friends Paul “Stammy/Spammy” Stamatiou and David “I don’t have a cool nickname or website yet” Tracy and I, Chris “Gomez/Gomeler” Morrell have been in the process of setting up shop in a townhouse just off Georgia Tech campus. Today David and I filled out all the paperwork to get the townhouse signed over to us and then we began the process of unloading his stuff and transporting my stuff from my old house. Once we had all our stuff stashed in the living room we went about setting up our TV/Internet connection. This required driving 15 miles through traffic to go to a store, say “Hi my name is Chris Morrell, I really exist” and then paying an exorbitant amount of money as a deposit. Once that was setup we went back to the townhouse and began christening the toilets.

Once this important process was complete I began arranging my “desk” as you can see in the images below. I find it to be a rather stylish desk. I really like the view though as I can view Tech Tower, the Coca Cola building, and some of Midtown Atlanta. Georgia Tech campus is a short walk/skip/bicycle ride up the street and I also am within walking distance of the Aquarium, CNN center, Phipps Arena, Georgia Dome, and Centennial Park. Of all the places I could have lived I am really satisfied with the choice we made, it is a great compromise between price, location, environment, and neighborhood.

That is about it right now, finished for the day and I currently have less than $10 to my name, however I have a lot of money owed to me, just have to be patient. Looks like there will be lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches this year but without the bread as it is too expensive. Perhaps I should redesign and implement a better advertising scheme to pull in some cash to put some meat on my bones.

Yay! I love it! I am so excited and I can’t wait to come home and hang out in it and harrass Paul!
You can’t really diet over here in Thailand. You get meat, veggies, and rice. Those are your only options…

I really hope your subwoofer is shielded.

I don’t leave the MacBook on the subwooer while it is driving any load, would be lovely to have a scrambled hard drive. I do wonder how large the magnetic field is though on it.
