Rather than cluster up your RSS feed-reader with 4 separate articles in 2 hours, I have decided to consolidate all of the interesting articles I have found around the web in a simple post. Now you only have to hit the delete key once!
Intel Demonstrates 45nm Core2Duo
This isn’t exactly stunning news but it does show that progress is being made over at Intel. Earlier this week Intel demonstrated that their 45nm Penryn processor was capable of booting into Windows and running stable. Current information is very sparse but this is good news for consumers as the 45nm chips will be cheaper for Intel to produce and potentially cheaper for us to purchase. Penryn is slated for Q3 or Q4 2007 so look for ES(Engineering Sample) chips to show up in June-July. Hopefully the 45nm die shrink will also let us push the chips faster with fewer volts, 3.6GHz at 1.3 volts anyone?

ThePirateBay.org attempts to become a country
In the 1800s when you were being pursued by the cops you simply skipped town and made a new life elsewhere. In this new digital world there no longer exists a “Wild West” to escape into, so PirateBay decided to make their own Wild West. TPB has announced that they will attempt to purchase the rights to ownership of Sealand, an unrecognized manmade island turned country. This is a rather interesting case as once TPB governs itself it could technically ignore any and all pressure from Media Anti-Piracy groups. If this goes through I can’t imagine the fallout effect that will occur, Bittorrent is here to stay guys so stop fighting it.

Dell CES Features Overclocked QX6700
Dell has taken what I would consider to be immense steps towards capturing the pre-built exotic PC market. First Dell purchased Alienware and now Dell will be releasing a XPS computer with an overclocked Intel QX6700. This special Dell 710 H2C will feature an “advanced” Peltier/Water cooling system that will chill water to keep the overclocked Kentsfield at some potentially frosty temperatures. While I don’t exactly support people who will purchase this overpriced system, it will surely be harder to laugh at people who brag of Dells being fast. I guess now with their 3.2GHz QX6700 Dell actually does have some sort of bragging rights, Fastest PC with Full Warranty. Now I wonder how long it will be till someone fries one of these and Dell pulls the product line. Water + Electricity + Nubs do not mix well.

Apple Axiotron launches Macbook with Touchscreen
I seriously didn’t see this concept coming but now that I think of it, it makes great sense. Apple tends to market towards the creative type, I swear every popular web designer has a Mac. There is no better way to get a concept/drawing into a computer than with a touchpad, so why not integrate the touchpad into the computer? Axiotron has done precisely this and I imagine it’ll sell like hotcakes. Apple hasn’t slapped them on the wrists yet so it looks like this product will actually hit the market in due time. I would love to play with one, I’ll take two please!

Woots! The Sealand thing is really interesting, and I’ve been keeping up on it on other sites. I guess it’ll be a good story to tell your grandchildren if they do succeed. “Back in my dad there were these bad, bad people called the RIAA — and they annoyed the hell out of everyone because they made all these stupid laws about what you could do with music and other media content. One day a large BitTorrent site went along and purchased their own country to get away from the RIAA, kids…”
