Spring Break

Spring Break is one of those holidays that is just saturated in stories of drunken debauchery, wet t-shirt contests, and unbelievable hookups. As a sort of summer sampler, Spring Break simply gets you prepared to face the following month of finals and papers that stand between you and a summer of freedom and/or summer classes. Sadly the gapping blackhole that is my current economic status prevented my plans of either going to Mexico on a mission trip, going to PCB on a less useful but possibly more entertaining trip or going skiing in a remote location while enjoying an absurd amount of crap beer. Instead I opted for the Atlanta Spring Break, poor college student style. I estimate that in the last 4 days I have spent 3.5 of them in my bed either sleeping or in a semi-dead state as I pulled a combined 3 all-nighters last week. So if you were wondering where I have been, well suffice to say I’ve either been comatose or working on my tan while being comatose in the 50 degree weather that sure as hell isn’t Cancun.

All excuses aside I figure it is time to get back into my groove. Cebit 2007 doesn’t seem to be as big as it has been in the past but there is still a ton of new stuff to talk about. I might have another toy to stress out on my testbed, it should be interesting to see how Intel’s server-grade silicon does on the LGA775 socket in the hands of an overclocker. Another revision of my single-stage cooling system is also around the corner along with the possibility that I may produce these in an acceptable quantity to sell to others, more on that if it works out otherwise pretend I just made a funny joke. I’ll also be working on an autocascade in the coming weeks, still looking for a “cheaper” source of ethylene but if all else fails then carbon dioxide will get the job done. Lots of other little things, this is just a public checklist of things to come. Oh! April 22nd is going to be huge, well maybe April 21st, the date is still a little fuzzy, but both AMD and Intel have announced ENORMOUS pricecuts on most of their processors, we are talking monumental. I would highly suggest holding off on purchasing any processors if you can until these price cuts, the Q6600 will drop to $515 or so, a verifiable steal! Guess I should do a little post about the various price drops, they switch things up in the performance per dollar ratios. Oh snap! I just realized that I’ve been blogging for a little over a year now, perhaps I’ll celebrate with a stiff drink on my 21st. Anywho, lots more to come but first I must get some shuteye, one cannot party like a rockstar and be really, really, ridiculously good looking without 12 hours of sleep and a cup of the dew collected from the bottom of eucalyptus trees grown in 100% organic soil.
