Review: Stealth 3D 2000

I went out to check the mail today and I noticed I had a package. I was very excited about this package, it contains my new SuperPi benching card. In the past I’ve benched with my 7900GTO which is a great card for 3D benches but it’s huge, expensive, and it’s rather risky having such an enormous card hanging off your board when you are doing sub-zero benching. I’d like to introduce you to my “brand new” Stealth 3D 2000 PCI VGA featuring the S3 ViRGE GPU.

You know you are addicted to benching when the first thing you do is try to run 3DMark01 on an 11 year old video card. I honestly had high hopes of pulling out make 1,000 3DMarks with this card(note:I’ve pulled 60K points with my 7900GTO..) but apparently the 4MB of onboard video memory just weren’t up to snuff. Oh well, would have been hilarious but it wasn’t meant to be. Now that I have a cheap PCI VGA I can start benching with my QuadGT, review will be out tomorrow under aircooling. Somebody tell the clouds to stop raining, it’s depressing.
