Digg and the HD-DVD Effect

HAHAHAHAHA! Digg has been spammed with the hex-code for the HD-DVD encryption. I’d say this is easily one of the biggest blows to the copyright protection in optical medial, one of the newest medias already compromised. Digg has been spammed so hard that the mods have frozen all articles from hitting the frontpage, it looks like Digg has become a catastrophic wasteland where martial law has taken effect. Digg claims to be “a digital media democracy” where the user gets to determine “all site content by discovering, selecting, sharing, and discussing the news, videos, and podcasts that appeal to you.” Looks like Digg has fallen through on this one as the world wants hex-code and Digg is trying to nerf that. All hail the power of people in masses, goodluck working crowd control on this issue. Now back to studying for my Thursday final.

Since I was having trouble getting a screenshot that would do this spectacle justice I decide to capture this moment in a PDF, enjoy!
