Futuremark Launches Benchmark Ticker

This is a nifty bit of code here that Futuremark has implemented. Their Benchmark Ticker is a little web-app that shows incoming 3DMark 2006 and 2005 scores along with the country they are sent from and some rudimentary data about the system used to generate the score. The page is still technically in beta but it is a rather unique idea and would be a great thing to be able to localize for benchmarking contests and such. It’s great to see Futuremark working on establishing new services, now I’m just waiting on 3DMark 2008 to launch so I can start crushing the competition with my Nvidia 8400GS or atleast blowing up some cheap hardware. Some of the graphs that are presented through the Ticker though show some great trends like the rise of SM4.0 cards and quadcore processors. I love data like this, great job Futuremark. Now launch a new 3DMark!

That is very cool. I think I just spent three minutes straight watching that update…

Same here, the map is mesmerizing. Can’t wait to see an overclocking competition with dozens of hits per minute coming from a single location.
