Nvidia Delays Chipset and GPU Launches

January 25th, 2008 at 20:45 under News.

Delays are becoming the standard it seems with product launches. First Intel pushes back it’s Yorkfield, E8500, and X48 launches and now Nvidia is pushing back it’s chipset and GPU launches for un-disclosed reasons. These companies must all be conspiring to assist AMD in it’s time of need as this leaves the HD3870×2 as the top GPU on the market, albeit a slapped together solution. This could be very good news for AMD as the HD3870 and HD3850 have been selling pretty decently and many users have expressed interest in the HD3870×2 for it’s use on motherboards with a single PCIe slot or with multi-card setups to provide the most pixel pushing power possible. Looks like we have a few months till the 9800GX2 launches along with the 9600GT, both cards that I eagerly await for their performance/price possibilities.
