I Live?
08.18.08 - 04:13pm
Blah. Life has been hectic and busy and I sort of forgot being a blogger was one of my roles. So let’s pretend you are interested in what’s happened in the last few weeks and do a quick montage of sorts regarding my life.

“I’m Kind of a Big Deal”
I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal. People know me. I’m very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany. With that out of the way, I’m currently fighting for the top 25 over at HWBot.org. I had made it a goal a while back to break into the top 100 overclockers on HWBot and well.. I crushed that goal and kept on trucking. Sometime later this week somebody in the top 25 will lose his place at that figurative table.

“I’m Kind of a Big Deal” Part 2
Ok, maybe the first “Big Deal” wasn’t so big, but this second one is a bit more professional. I’ve started writing for LegitReviews.com which explains where I have been for the last forever. Finally my goals are being realized of writing at a well known publication. It’s fun doing the little freelance thing here at Gomeler.com but I’m not a fantastic blogger/advertiser and would rather simply review hardware. LegitReviews seems to be able to give me that opportunity so we’ll see where that one goes. I did quit one of my day jobs to be able to do reviews (and benchmark =D) “full-time”. Have my fingers crossed I don’t have to go search for employment again.
“I’m Kind of a Big Deal” Part 3
I’m now an XIP over at XtremeSystems, my home forum. It doesn’t get me into any clubs or come with a fancy decoder ring but it does let me yell out “Respect mah Authoritah” and people do a double-take instead of ignoring me. Next step is to become an Xtreme Legend but you have to do something legendary. Maybe I could graduate from college and they’d give it to me then?

“I’m not really a big deal..”
Working on getting re-admitted back into Georgia Tech and it’s depressing. For those of you that don’t know, college hasn’t been my forte in general. I want to be doing something productive and sitting in college classes just isn’t doing it for me. Naturally I managed to get myself kicked out of Georgia Tech not once, but twice! I have 36 hours remaining at Tech, roughly 1 year, so now I’m getting things together so I can move on with my life. This is an aspect of my life that isn’t going according to plan.
Upcoming Stuff
I almost jumped on a plane to NVISION 08 but I decided I’d best save some money. The next planned event for me will be CES 09 which should be a blasty blast but is in January 2009. Looks like this Fall I’ll be here in Atlanta, working, reviewing, and studying in preparation for the hope of being in school this upcoming Spring. I don’t know if I’ll have anymore hardware reviews at Gomeler.com but I’m sure I’ll post oddball things here and some accomplishments. Now time to go find my invisibility cloak and secure my financial freedom! PS-Tropic Thunder was pure win. PPS-Plan on buying a Macbook soon, so stoked!
pppppps
My New Toy! 180 liters of pure, unadulterated, liquid nitrogen.

The associated goodies that accompany this huge bottle of juice.

Let’s just say when AirGas stopped by with this my eyes light up like a drug addict gazing at his stash.
Glad to see a fresh update!
Hope the GTech issues are resolved soon.
And congrats on becoming an overclocking fiend!
You’re not alone in feeling that college is a waste of time. I too have about a year left at Georgia Tech and I’m completely hating every hour and every dollar I’m spending here. You may remember me from the ECE 2030 class we had together or, more recently, LCC 2700. At this point, I’m simply getting my degree to make my parents happy and then moving onto things that actually matter.
RESPECT FOR MY AUTHORITY!! :D Awesomo! :D I love Eric Cartmanez^^ I really like what you’ve expierenced during the last few month, keep at your great work and your arrogance:p Respect to your authority!
